Q. Do I have to pay to register/sign up?

A. No, registering/signing up is completely free.

Q. How much does it cost to list an item?

A. It costs £1 only to list one item (subject to change. Notification beforehand). This is to be paid via PayPal before the item has been listed.

Q. Does ART55 take any commission from the final sale?

A. NO, none at all. If you sold the item for £100 or £1000, you would receive every penny. There's no hidden fees, contracts or commission.

Q. Why do you need a PayPal account?

A. We consider PayPal to be one of the safest ways for the transactions of sales. The reason we ask all those who register to have a PayPal account is so that the ART55 community can have a trustworthy relationship between buyer and seller during the payment process. ART55 would like your visit to our website to be as safe and secure as possible. Signing up for a PayPal account is free of charge.

Q. I have sold an item, when will I be paid?

A. As soon as the buyer purchases the item and they pay for the item, you get it immediately. ART55 does not hold any funds what so ever unlike many other art websites. We have no intereferance with the seller and buyers purchase transaction.

Q. What is the Featured Listing option?

A. The featured listing option is available during the listing process. What the featured listing does, it randomly features your work on the homepage of ART55. You may not see it yourself, but it definitely will feature at some point. It is a free option so you might as well select it so it increases your chances of selling your work

Q. What is the feedback for?

A. We feel that the feedback helps to install trust with potential buyers. We understand everyone has to start with 0 feedback, so we encourage our buyers to contact the sellers with low feedback about work that they are interested in purchasing. It helps to cement that trust needed between buyer and seller.

Q. Why is the duration for 1,095 days?

A. We feel that 3 years is an adequate time to show your artwork and to sell an item.

Q. How much does it cost to re-list an item?

A. £1 only.

Q. Do I still own the rights to my artwork when it is listed on to ART55?

A. Yes, absolutely.

Q. I have a piece of artwork that I would like to sell, but I did not create it. Can I still sell it on ART55?

A. Yes, if it is, for example, a piece of artwork that you have purchased and did not want anymore and that you clearly state that you did not create it and you can clearly show who originally did.

But if you have altered the artwork in anyway, or re-produced the artwork, for example, made prints of a painting, then no because that is violating the copyright. If you intend on selling artwork that you have purchased which you are now reselling, you may want to check the Resale Rights.

Q. Can I upload images with watermarks?

A. Yes, absolutely. We encourage and recommend that all sellers watermark their images.

Q. Can buyers contact me to ask about commissioning work for them?

A. Yes of course. We have enabled this option so that you can be contacted by registered users. If someone wants to ask you to commission a piece of work, it is easy for them to get in contact with you.

Q. How is the item delivered to me?

A. Once the seller has received payment they will send you the item. ART55 strongly recommends that the seller sends the item via a recorded/trackable delivery service.

Q. The domain name is, I am from outside the UK, can I still sell my work on ART55?
